  • Leaf lesions begin as tiny, olive-green to brown spots
  • Lesions enlarge to form irregularly-shaped blotches or
        spots, bleached to brown in color

  • Distinct, brown, circular patches (1-2")
  • Diffuse thinning
  • Grasses
    Affected:
  • Bermudagrass
  • Causal
    Agent(s):
  • Fungus: Helminthosporium spp.
  • Time of
    Occurence:
  • Varies from later winter through fall
  • Conditions that
    Favor Disease:
  • Cool or warm, wet weather depending upon the
        Helminthosporium species
