Plant Damage / Signs:
  • Area of leaf edges removed, like notches
  • General plant decline occurs as a result of
        larvae feeding on roots and lower bark
  • Discoloration, dieback, to complete death may occur


  • Insect / Signs:
  • Adults oblong, black, 3/8" long, feed during the night
  • Larvae legless, c-shaped, white with brown heads

  • Several other weevils - on varying woody ornamentals
