Anthracnose - Maple Anthracnose - White Oak

Plant Damage / Signs:
  • Large irregular brown spots (blotches) form on leaves
  • Blotches often extend along or between veins
  • Leaf distortion may occur
  • Early leaf drop may occur
  • Stem cankers and dieback occurs on
        Sycamores / Dogwoods


  • Conditions:
  • Wet (spring rains)
  • Mild to moderate temperatures


  • Note:
  • Spot Anthracnose (Dogwood and Euonymus) causes
        small spots on leaves, flowers, fruits and stems
  • Plants:
  • Ash
  • Dogwood
  • Maple
  • Oak
  • Sycamore
  • Others occasionally
